breat.fr respects the privacy of its visitors and is committed to ensuring that the collection and processing of your data, carried out from the breat.fr website, comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR [ en.wikipedia.org ]) and the French Data Protection Act, as indicated by certain privacy protection tools, such as the DuckDuckGo extension and if you use the DNT [ en.wikipedia.org ] feature of your browser.

The data collected and used by breat.fr is strictly intended for internal use only.

The following are also stored:

• from your comments, in order to make future comments easier to fill in:
  • your name or username
  • email address
  • link to your website
• statistics via self-hosted Matomo, configured without tracking cookies and with anonymized data (e.g. truncated IP, browser agent, etc.)
• possible Algolia cookie for search
• possible Cloudflare cookie for site performance and the captcha on the contact page
• CodePen content: loaded only after an action on your part (cookies possible depending on CodePen)
• contact form: message sending via Formspree (no tracking cookie) and anti-spam protection via Cloudflare Turnstile (technical cookies possible)
• status page: Better Stack/Better Uptime script (monitoring) — processes necessary technical data (e.g. IP address, user agent, timestamp)
• Dailymotion / YouTube videos: loaded only after an action on your part (cookies possible depending on the platform)

External content (videos, embeds, third-party services) is blocked by default and is only loaded after your explicit action.

Once loaded, the third-party services concerned (Algolia, Better Stack/Better Uptime, Cloudflare, CodePen, Dailymotion, YouTube) may place their own cookies, independently of breat.fr and according to their respective policies.

What is stored (non-exhaustive list) in YOUR browser:

• your theme preference (dark, light, etc.)
• your site accessibility customization via its options
• the language used on the site

Under no circumstances will this data be shared or sold to third parties. It is stored in the internal databases of the specific hosting provider (LWS [ lws.fr ]) for breat.fr and backed up at regular intervals. I take great care in protecting this data; only myself (the administrator) and the site’s hosting provider, as a technical service provider, have access rights.

In order to improve the site and evaluate the most popular features and pages, I measure the number of visits, the number of page views, as well as visitor activity on the site and their return frequency using Matomo [ matomo.org ] (an open-source alternative to Google Analytics), in an anonymized manner.
Aggregated technical statistics may also be provided by Cloudflare for security and performance purposes.
As I am personally opposed to internet tracking, I do NOT track individual behavior and under NO circumstances do I resell any information.
